Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemeteries (WI Veterans Cemeteries)
Wisconsin runs three state veterans memorial cemeteries. There is no interment fee for an eligible veteran's casket burial unless a private burial vault is used. A spouse or dependent child casket burial costs $1,700, and a cremains burial for a spouse or dependent costs $978. Fees cover the gravesite, marker, opening and closing, and lasting maintenance.
Who it is for
Veterans discharged under conditions other than dishonorable who meet U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration standards, including active duty veterans, those who died in service, and those with 20 or more years of National Guard or Reserve service eligible for military retirement. Eligible spouses and dependent children also qualify.
