WDVA Retraining Grant (WI Retraining Grant)
Financial help for recently unemployed or underemployed Wisconsin veterans who are retraining for new work. Pays up to $3,000 per year, for up to two years, based on financial need.
Who it is for
Wisconsin veterans who were involuntarily laid off or discharged (not for misconduct) within the past year after at least six consecutive months in the same job, or whose employment income is below the federal poverty guidelines. You must be enrolled in a technical college program or on-the-job training that can be finished within two years and leads to a job. Four-year college programs do not qualify.
