Wisconsin Veterans and Surviving Spouses Property Tax Credit (WI Property Tax Credit)
A refundable state income tax credit that pays back 100% of the property taxes paid on your primary Wisconsin home and up to one acre of land. Because it is refundable, you get the money even if you owe no state income tax.
Who it is for
Wisconsin veterans with a 100% service-connected VA disability rating or a 100% rating based on individual unemployability, who served under honorable conditions and were Wisconsin residents at entry into service or for 5 consecutive years afterward. Unremarried surviving spouses can also qualify, including those receiving Dependency and Indemnity Compensation.
