Virginia Veterans Treatment Docket (VTD)
A specialized court docket that gives eligible justice-involved veterans substance use and mental health treatment as an alternative to traditional case processing. Participants get individualized treatment plans, frequent court appearances, and a veteran peer mentor.
Who it is for
Current or former members of any branch of active duty, the National Guard, or the Reserves who are charged in a Virginia court and have a diagnosed mental health condition or substance use disorder. A violent or sex-offense history, a dishonorable discharge, or unresolved charges in other jurisdictions may make someone ineligible.
