A $2,500 grant to help eligible veterans and service members buy their first home in Utah.
Who it is for
Veterans who left the military within the last 5 years, and current active duty, Reserve, or National Guard members, who qualify for a VA Home Loan Certificate of Eligibility and are buying their first home in Utah as their main residence.

How to apply
- Confirm you qualify for a VA Home Loan Certificate of Eligibility and are buying your first home in Utah
- Submit your application package to UDVMA at least 10 business days before your loan closes
- Get required documents to Utah Housing Corporation at least 5 business days before closing
Deadline: Funding for this grant is awarded until the yearly funds run out. As of this writing the program's page states FY2026 funds are depleted and the program is expected to reopen August 3, 2026, so check the program page for current fund status before applying. (Deadline not confirmed)
Amount: $2,500 per eligible applicant (one grant per couple if both are eligible)
