Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans (Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans)
A statewide program the State Bar of Texas started in July 2010 that provides free pro bono civil legal help to veterans and their families who cannot afford a lawyer. Volunteer attorneys hold legal advice clinics across Texas, hosted with local bar associations, legal aid groups, and veteran service providers.
Who it is for
Texas veterans and their families who need civil legal help and cannot afford to pay for it. Clinics focus on civil matters, including benefits available through the VA, not criminal cases.
Focus: Surviving spouses and families
