Texas Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemptions (Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption)
Texas removes all property taxes on the home of a veteran rated 100 percent disabled or paid at the 100 percent rate for individual unemployability by the VA. Veterans with lower disability ratings get a partial exemption on one property they own, with the amount based on their rating.
Who it is for
Texas veterans with a VA disability rating. Some surviving spouses and children also qualify, including an unmarried surviving spouse who keeps the home as their main residence after a 100 percent disabled veteran dies.
Focus: Veterans with disabilities, Surviving spouses and families
