Tennessee State Veterans' Homes (TSVH)
A state-chartered organization governed by a Governor-appointed board that operates skilled nursing and long-term care homes for Tennessee veterans, with locations in Murfreesboro, Humboldt, Knoxville, Clarksville, and Cleveland, and a new home under construction in Arlington. Homes provide 24-hour nursing, rehabilitation therapy, and long-term or short-term care. VA Higher Per Diem can cover 100 percent of the cost for veterans with a 70 percent or higher service-connected rating or who need care for a service-connected condition.
Who it is for
Honorably discharged veterans who need skilled nursing care and have a Tennessee connection (current resident, born in Tennessee, entered service in Tennessee, Tennessee home of record, or an immediate family caregiver in Tennessee). Spouses and Gold Star parents may be admitted on a space-available basis. Payment can come through VA per diem, Medicare, Tennessee Medicaid, long-term care insurance, or private pay.
