Tennessee Property Tax Relief for Disabled Veterans (TN Property Tax Relief)
Pays part of the property taxes on a disabled veteran's home. Relief is calculated on up to the first $175,000 of the home's market value. A separate Tennessee program gives relief to unremarried surviving spouses of eligible veterans, calculated on up to the first $100,000 of market value.
Who it is for
Tennessee veterans who own and live in their home as their primary residence and have a VA determination of service-connected permanent and total disability, service-connected paraplegia or permanent paralysis of both legs and the lower body, loss or loss of use of two or more limbs, or legal blindness, or a 100% total and permanent disability rating from being a prisoner of war. Surviving spouses who have not remarried can qualify under a separate relief program with a lower value cap.
