Tennessee Honor Guard Grant Program (HGGP)

State grants that reimburse Tennessee veteran service organizations for the costs of providing volunteer honor guard burial details at veterans' funerals, including training, transportation, food, and ceremonial equipment and supplies. Reimbursement is capped at $7,500 per organization per fiscal year.

Who it is for

Tennessee veteran service organizations that are officially registered with the state of Tennessee and recognized as 501(c)(19) nonprofits, whose members provide honor guard burial details at funerals of qualifying Tennessee veterans. This is for organizations, not individual veterans.

How to apply

  1. Read the Grant Manual and eligibility pages linked from the TDVS HGGP program page.
  2. Submit a Notice of Intent to Apply (NOITA) to TDVS, then complete state vendor setup in Edison.
  3. Questions go to TDVS.Grants@tn.gov or (615) 741-2345.

Deadline: Applications start with a Notice of Intent to Apply to TDVS. Contact TDVS.Grants@tn.gov for the current grant cycle dates. (Deadline varies)
