M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery (SC Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery)
South Carolina's only state veterans cemetery, in Anderson. There is no cost for the veteran's plot, grave liner, marker, or the opening and closing of the grave. There is a $300 fee for a spouse and a $300 fee for each eligible child.
Who it is for
Veterans discharged under honorable conditions, plus their spouses and unmarried dependent children under 21 (or adult children who cannot support themselves due to disability).

How to apply
- You can pre-certify ahead of need by completing the Cemetery Eligibility Pre-Certification Application on the SCDVA website and sending in a copy of the veteran's DD-214 or discharge document (and a marriage certificate for a spouse), so the cemetery keeps eligibility on file and burial can be scheduled without delay.
- At time of need, your funeral director usually submits the Application for Interment and coordinates the burial and military honors.
