Who it is for
Pennsylvania veterans discharged under honorable conditions, and unmarried surviving spouses of eligible veterans, who have a sudden financial hardship caused by something beyond their control, such as job loss, illness, or a disaster, and who are not already getting enough help from another state or federal agency.

How to apply
- Gather your DD Form 214, proof of Pennsylvania residency, and proof of your income, benefits, and expenses.

- The county office helps you complete and submit the application at no charge.
