Oklahoma's state veterans cemetery in Ardmore provides a gravesite or columbarium niche, grave liner, opening and closing, headstone or memorial plaque, committal service, and perpetual care at no cost to eligible veterans and their families.

- Submit an Eligibility Precertification Application with a copy of the veteran's DD-214 (and marriage certificate for spouses) ahead of time if possible. Most applications process in 1 to 2 weeks.
- When the time comes, have the funeral director or next of kin contact the cemetery directly to schedule the committal service.
- The cemetery tentatively books the service and gives final confirmation once eligibility is verified.
