New Jersey Catastrophic Entitlement
A monthly payment of $150 from the state to severely disabled wartime veterans or their surviving spouses.
Who it is for
New Jersey residents with a permanent service-connected disability rating from wartime service for one of seven severe conditions, including loss of sight, loss of both hands or both feet or one of each, paralysis on one side of the body, paralysis of both legs, permanent loss of use of both legs from osteochondritis, multiple sclerosis affecting both feet or legs, or quadriplegia. Surviving spouses who were receiving the benefit with the veteran can continue it.
