ND Dependent Tuition Waiver (Dependent Tuition Waiver)

Waives tuition and fees for a bachelor's degree or certificate program at North Dakota state colleges and universities for the child, stepchild, spouse, or surviving spouse of a veteran who was killed in action, is 100% service-connected disabled, was a POW, or is missing in action. The waiver lasts as long as the dependent stays eligible; it does not cover flight training costs.

How to apply

  1. Apply for and gain acceptance to a North Dakota University System school.
  2. Contact that campus's financial aid office or veterans services office to start the waiver paperwork.
  3. Provide proof of the veteran's status (death, 100% disability, POW, or MIA status) as requested.

Deadline: There is no fixed deadline. The waiver lasts as long as you remain eligible, but you must first be accepted to a North Dakota University System school. (Rolling, apply any time)
