N.C. DMVA Grant Program for County Veterans Offices (NC DMVA County Veterans Office Grant)

A noncompetitive state grant of up to $20,000 that helps North Carolina county veterans offices deliver services to veterans. Allowable costs include training, conferences, personnel compensation, outreach, and office supplies. No matching funds are required.

Who it is for

North Carolina counties with eight or fewer certified veteran service officers located within the county. This is an organizational grant, not direct aid to individual veterans.

How to apply

  1. Confirm your county has eight or fewer certified veteran service officers, which can include officers employed by federal, state, county, or nonprofit entities.
  2. Complete the Grant Application-Contract package and review the list of allowable and ineligible costs on the DMVA program page.
  3. Submit the completed package by email to SVC_DMVA_FSD.grants@milvets.nc.gov by the deadline listed on the program page.
