Montana State Veterans Homes (State Veterans Homes)
Montana operates three state veterans homes that provide skilled nursing, intermediate, and domiciliary care to eligible veterans and their spouses. Care may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, VA assistance, private insurance, or private pay.
Who it is for
Honorably discharged veterans, and the spouse or surviving spouse of a veteran, who need skilled or intermediate nursing care or domiciliary care. Spouses are admitted on a space-available basis. For skilled nursing care, a physician must certify the need for daily skilled care. Contact the home's admission coordinator to confirm eligibility.
