Gives a $1,000 scholarship to Montana veterans who received a Purple Heart, to help pay for college or vocational-technical school.
Who it is for
People who were awarded a Purple Heart (shown on a DD-214 or other discharge paperwork), have already completed one full academic year at a Montana state university or vocational-technical school, keep at least a 2.0 GPA, and are currently re-enrolled.

How to apply
- Contact the veteran services office at your Montana state university or vocational-technical school.
- Provide your DD-214 or discharge paperwork showing the Purple Heart award, along with proof of GPA and re-enrollment.
- Your school submits the application on your behalf to the Montana Veteran Affairs Division.
