Montana Disabled Veteran Assistance Program (MDV Property Tax Relief)
Lowers the property tax rate on the home of a 100% service-connected disabled veteran or their unmarried surviving spouse, cutting the tax bill by 50% to 100% depending on income and marital status.
Who it is for
Montana veterans with a current 100% service-connected disability rating from the VA, who own (or are buying) their home and live in it for at least seven months of the year. Unmarried surviving spouses of a veteran who died on active duty, died from a service-connected disability, or was rated 100% disabled at death can also qualify. Eligibility also depends on your income.
Focus: Veterans with disabilities, Surviving spouses and families
