Mississippi operates five nursing homes for veterans, in Collins, Jackson, Kosciusko, Oxford, and Tradition (Biloxi), currently serving about 600 veterans.
Who it is for
Veterans discharged under conditions other than dishonorable who are or were Mississippi residents and need nursing-level care, and who pass a physician exam within 30 days of applying. Spouses of current residents may also qualify.
