How to apply
- Get a letter from the VA (a VA Summary of Benefits letter) confirming your 100% service-connected disability rating and the effective date, which must be on or before January 1 of the year you apply.
- Gather proof of home ownership, Social Security numbers and dates of birth for you and your spouse, and current license tag numbers for all vehicles you own or possess.
- File the application in person at your county Tax Assessor's office between January 1 and April 1.
