Seven state veterans homes across Missouri providing long-term skilled nursing care, including 24-hour nursing, physician care, physical and occupational therapy, memory care, and transportation to VA appointments. The 2026 rate is $2,773 per month, which covers care, meals, and all facility services.
Who it is for
Veterans who meet the VA's criteria for veteran status (or hold an honorable discharge from the National Guard), need 24-hour skilled nursing care, and have lived in Missouri for at least 180 consecutive days right before applying. Applicants cannot be on a sex offender registry or have certain serious felony convictions. Homes are located in Cameron, Cape Girardeau, Mexico, Mt. Vernon, St. James, St. Louis, and Warrensburg.
