Missouri Military Family Relief Fund (MMFRF)
Emergency grants for living and medical expenses, such as housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, and medical bills, during a period of financial hardship. Grants are paid directly to you, not to your creditors.
Who it is for
Missouri National Guard members, or Missouri residents serving in another reserve branch, and their families, when the member has served at least 30 consecutive days of active duty since September 11, 2001 and the household is facing financial hardship. If the member has already left active duty, you generally need to apply within 120 days of release, though this can be waived. Senior officers (above pay grade O-3 or W-2 at mobilization) are generally not eligible.

How to apply
- Call the Missouri National Guard family assistance line at (888) 526-6664 to request an application from the MMFRF coordinator.
- Gather your activation orders, a military pay statement and a civilian pay record, and a copy of the bill or expense you need help with.
- Submit the complete application. Grants are reviewed by a panel and paid directly to you.
Deadline: Applications are accepted year round. If the fund is low, complete applications wait in a queue until money is available. (Rolling, apply any time)
