Monthly help with rent or mortgage, utilities, health insurance premiums, and personal needs while a disability keeps you from working, for example up to $400 for shelter plus $532 for personal needs for a single person, reduced by any income you have.
Who it is for
Minnesota veterans who have lived in the state for at least 30 days and cannot work at their usual job for 30 days or more because of a disability. Unmarried surviving spouses can apply within one year of the veteran's death. The program looks at income and assets, so it is meant for people with real financial need.
