Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemeteries (Agawam and Winchendon) (State Veterans Cemeteries)
Massachusetts runs two state veterans' cemeteries, one in Agawam and one in Winchendon. Eligible veterans are buried at no cost, and spouses and eligible dependents can be buried for a nominal fee.
Who it is for
Veterans who were discharged under honorable conditions, died on active duty, or served at least 20 years in the National Guard or Reserve and receive a military pension, along with their spouses and eligible dependents. Standard service length requirements apply, with exceptions for certain service.

- Provide an application from the veteran or next of kin, all military discharge papers, and a birth certificate for approval.
