How you apply: Apply directly to the program.

How to apply

  1. Optional: file a pre-need application with your chosen state veterans cemetery in advance to confirm eligibility.
  2. At time of need, the funeral home files the burial application for a casketed burial, or the family or funeral home files it for a cremation burial.
  3. Cemetery staff can help choose burial options and paperwork; call the cemetery directly or LDVA at (225) 219-5000 for help.
