Louisiana State Veterans Homes (Veterans Homes)
Five state-run veterans homes provide skilled nursing care, long-term care, and memory care for Louisiana veterans and eligible family. Veterans rated 70% or more service-connected disabled are admitted free of charge; veterans rated below 70% pay $2,424 per month, and spouses, Gold Star parents, and eligible reservists pay $5,500 per month.

Honorably discharged Louisiana veterans with 90 days of active duty service, eligible National Guard or Reserve members, spouses of veterans, and Gold Star parents who need nursing or long-term care.
