Kentucky Veterans Program Trust Fund (Veterans Program Trust Fund)
Makes grants to organizations and programs that help Kentucky veterans, for needs that are not covered by other funding, such as a university's free behavioral health clinic for veterans. A governor-appointed Board of Directors reviews applications at quarterly meetings.
Who it is for
Organizations running veteran-serving projects or programs in Kentucky that need funding not available from other sources. Construction, renovation, entertainment costs, and programs already funded elsewhere by government are not eligible.

How to apply
- Prepare a written application describing the veteran-serving project or program and the funding request, using the Application for Funding form on the KDVA website.
- Send the completed application to KDVA.PIO@KY.GOV by email, or by US mail or fax if you cannot email it, so it is received at least 30 calendar days before the next board meeting (not just postmarked by that date).
- The Board of Directors reviews applications at its quarterly meeting to decide on funding.
Deadline: The board meets on a quarterly cycle (2026 meeting dates are March 10, June 10, September 9, and December, with applications due 30 calendar days before each one: February 10, May 10, August 9, and November). (Annual cycle)
