Kentucky Tuition Waiver for Veterans' Dependents (Kentucky Tuition Waiver)
Waives tuition (not room, board, books, or fees) at Kentucky's public two-year, four-year, and vocational-technical schools for the children, stepchildren, spouses, and surviving spouses of qualifying Kentucky veterans.
Who it is for
Dependents of a Kentucky veteran who died on active duty or from a service-connected disability, is rated 100% service-connected disabled, or is totally disabled from wartime service (or died a Kentucky resident after wartime service). The veteran must currently live in Kentucky. Dependent children must apply before age 26; surviving spouses have no age limit.

How to apply
- Apply and get accepted to a Kentucky public two-year, four-year, or vocational-technical school first.
- Complete the tuition waiver application form on the KDVA website and submit it.
