Indiana Disabled Veteran Property Tax Benefits
Property tax relief for disabled Indiana veterans. Veterans with a total disability rating, at least 90 days of service, an honorable discharge, and one year of Indiana residency can qualify for a 100 percent property tax deduction on their home. Smaller credits of $350 (wartime service, 10 percent or higher rating) and $250 (age 62 or older, 90 days of service, 10 percent or higher rating) are also available, and some surviving spouses qualify.

- Get State Form 12662 and a current VA letter (Annual VA Summary or Tax Abatement letter) showing your service dates and combined disability rating.
- File the application with the county auditor's office in the county where your home is located.
- If you need help, your County Veteran Service Officer can check your records and help you file for free.
