Deceased, Disabled, and MIA/POW Veterans' Dependents Scholarship (MIA/POW Scholarship)
Pays full tuition and mandatory fees at any Illinois state-supported college or university for up to the equivalent of four years of enrollment for spouses and children of certain veterans. The benefit expires 12 years from the date of first enrollment.
Who it is for
Spouses and children of veterans who were Illinois residents when they entered service (or meet other Illinois residency rules) and who are missing in action, were prisoners of war, are rated 100 percent permanently and totally disabled from service-connected causes or due to unemployability, or died of service-connected causes.
