Before you start

How you apply: Apply through a partner organization.

You apply through your County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO), who helps prepare and submit the request.

How to apply

  1. Find your County Veterans Service Officer using the state's service locator map.
  2. Meet with your CVSO to explain your need and gather supporting documents.
  3. Your CVSO submits the request; the Iowa Veterans Commission approves fund expenditures.

Deadline: No deadline. You can apply any time you have a qualifying need, subject to funds being available. (Rolling, apply any time)
