Burial at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel is free for eligible veterans, including ground burial and a standard granite headstone or niche marker. There is a $300 interment fee for an eligible spouse or dependent child. Living in Iowa is not required to be eligible.

- At the time of need, the funeral director provides proof of honorable service, such as a DD-214, to the cemetery.
