How to apply
- Contact an Iowa Finance Authority participating lender.
- Submit a home loan application along with proof of eligible military service.
- If approved, the grant is applied at closing, as funding allows.
Deadline: New reservations for the current cycle (fiscal year 2027) open July 1, 2026. Iowa's state fiscal year runs July through June, so reservations are expected to reopen each July, but check the program page for the current status since funds run out. (Annual cycle)
