Who it is for
Veterans with a 100% service-connected disability rating (including those rated 100% through individual unemployability), and surviving spouses receiving Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, who own and live in the home.

How to apply
- Get a VA Benefit Summary Letter showing your service-connected disability rating, plus your DD-214.
- Fill out the Disabled Veteran Homestead Tax Credit Application (form 54-049).
- File it with your local county or city assessor by July 1.
Deadline: Applications are due July 1 each year. Filing after July 1 pushes the credit to the following year. (Annual cycle)
