Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention Program (VHHP)
Gives long-term, low-cost loans to organizations that buy, build, fix up, or preserve affordable apartment housing for veterans and their families. At least half of the money must serve veterans with extremely low incomes, and 60 percent of those units must be supportive housing with services attached.
Who it is for
Developers and organizations building affordable multifamily housing for veterans in California. It does not give money directly to individual veterans; veterans who need housing help should contact CalVet or the VA instead.

- Apply to HCD when a funding round opens.
