Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemeteries
Arizona runs three state veterans' cemeteries: at Camp Navajo in Bellmont, at Marana, and the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista. For eligible veterans, burial includes a gravesite, opening and closing of the gravesite, a concrete liner for casket burials, a government marker, and perpetual care at no cost.
Who it is for
All members of the Armed Forces, including National Guard and reservists, and veterans discharged from active duty under honorable conditions, with certain exceptions. Spouses, an un-remarried widow or widower, minor children, and under certain conditions unmarried adult dependent children may also be eligible. Eligible spouses may be buried even if they die before the veteran.

How to apply
- Pick up a burial application at any of the three cemeteries, online through the ADVS cemeteries page, or at most Arizona funeral homes.
- You can pre-register ahead of time by completing the pre-registration form and interment application form and including a copy of the veteran's discharge paperwork.
- At the time of need, contact the cemetery to arrange the committal service; spaces are assigned at that time and cannot be reserved in advance. Call SAVMC in Sierra Vista at 520-458-7144 or the main ADVS line at 602-255-3373.
Deadline: There is no deadline. Pre-registration can be done at any time, and burial arrangements are made at the time of need. (Rolling, apply any time)
